That one FACEBOOK post! :(

Today.. while I was working out in the gym,I take a break, check my phone, browse my facebook account..

I see a post,a status update from a friend, that literally THRILLED me! Tears rolled down my eyes,I don’t know, regardless of where I was,I couldn’t hold on. Could not control..

Wanna kill yourself? Imagine this.

You come home from school one day. You’ve had yet another horrible day. You’re just ready to give up. So you go to your room, close the door, and take out that suicide note you’ve written and rewritten over and over and over You take out those razor blades, and cut for the very last time. You grab that bottle of pills and take them all. Laying down, holding the letter to your chest, you close your eyes for the very last time.

A few hours later, your little brother knocks on your door to come tell you dinners ready. You don’t answer, so he walks in. All he sees is you laying on your bed, so he thinks you’re asleep. He tells your mom this. Your mom goes to your room to wake you up. She notices something is odd. She grabs the paper in your hand and reads it. Sobbing, she tries to wake you up. She’s screaming your name. Your brother, so confused, runs to go tell Dad that “Mommy is crying and sissy won’t wake up.” Your dad runs to your room. He looks at your mom, crying, holding the letter to her chest, sitting next to your lifeless body. It hits him, what’s going on, and he screams. He screams and throws something at the wall. And then, falling to his knees, he starts to cry. Your mom crawls over to him, and they sit there, holding each other, crying.

The next day at school, there’s an announcement. The principal tells everyone about your suicide. It takes a few seconds for it to sink in, and once it does, everyone goes silent. Everyone blames themselves.

Your teachers think they were too hard on you. Those mean popular girls, they think of all the things they’ve said to you. That boy that used to tease you and call you names, he can’t help but hate himself for never telling you how beautiful you really are. Your ex boyfriend, the one that you told everything to, that broke up with you.. He can’t handle it. He breaks down and starts crying, and runs out of the school. Your friends? They’re sobbing too, wondering how they could never see that anything was wrong, wishing they could have helped you before it was too late. And your best friend? She’s in shock. She can’t believe it. She knew what you were going through, but she never thought it would get that bad… Bad enough for you to end it. She can’t cry, she can’t feel anything. She stands up, walks out of the classroom, and just sinks to the floor. Shaking, screaming, but no tears coming out.

It’s a few days later, at your funeral. The whole town came. Everyone knew you, that girl with the bright smile and bubbly personality. The one that was always there for them, the shoulder to cry on. Lots of people talk about all the good memories they had with you, there were a lot. Everyone’s crying, your little brother still doesn’t know you killed yourself, he’s too young. Your parents just said you died. It hurts him, a lot. You were his big sister, you were supposed to always be there for him. Your best friend, she stays strong through the entire service, but as soon as they start lowering your casket into the ground, she just loses it. She cries and cries and doesn’t stop for days.

It’s two years later. The whole school talks to a counselor/therapist at least once a week. Your teachers all quit their job. Those mean girls have eating disorders now. That boy that used to tease you cuts himself. Your ex boyfriend doesn’t know how to love anymore and just sleeps around with girls. Your friends all go into depression. Your best friend? She tried to kill herself. She didn’t succeed like you did, but she tried…your brother? He finally found out the truth about your death. He self harms, he cries at night, he does exactly what you did for years leading up to your suicide. Your parents? Their marriage fell apart. Your dad became a workaholic to distract himself from your death. Your mom got diagnosed with depression and just lays in bed all day.

People care. You may not think so, but they do. Your choices don’t just effect you. They effect everyone. Don’t end your life, you have so much to live for. Things can’t get better if you give up. I’m here for absolutely anyone that needs to talk, no matter who you are. Even if we’ve NEVER talked before, I’m here for you.

Painful.. Isn’t it?
While reading this,my soul, was shaking,it’s hard to imagine,I wonder how ever can someone take such a hard step! *SHIVERING*
Killing yourself? It is a SIN. Not because you end your life,or you suicide, you MURDER YOURSELF AND THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU,who care for you,who need you,who cannot imagine life without you.

This is a brilliant post. So true, it is a sin to commit suicide. Why choose death? why not face the reality? Only cowards chose such step!
This post made me cry. We feel as if nothing matters if we don't exist, but it actually matters a hell lot!

  4. क्या कहूँ ??
    सन्देश अच्छा है,मगर…

I'd like to thank you for sharing this.

People do care, people do love and yes, like you said, we need to remember this always. 🙂

  6. Sakshi Singh says:

    I know..
What are we all here for, life right! If that's something we'll end. What in the world would ever be left?
Won't say they're cowards.. They're just too shy may be to share the pain.. To overcome those things that hurt!

    People need to grow strong!

Of course,if not no one in the world.. Parents!! Are the ones who would never want to see their child's death body infront of them. So,they care, they love you the most!

  7. Sakshi Singh says:

It's exactly a way to convey things Suchhit!

Kisi ko dukh pahuchane ka irada nahi tha mera, bas yeh samjhana tha,ki yeh sochne me hi itna dukh de raha hai.. Karna..

I dont think someone ever should!

Glad you took a look over,do follow me!:)

  8. Sakshi Singh says:

Most welcome! I wanted to,trust me this post is promoted in every way I could!

I know,we face things daily.. But nothing is as painful as death!

So I guess, yes! Realization. People love. They care. More than we can imagine! 🙂

  9. Fida Bosu says:

Great post.. Some people think death is the easy way out.. without even thinking of the consequences. Whatever comes are from God, and c'mon.. God is not that cruel to give you something that you can't handle! So don't underestimate yourself that you can't handle it..
I hope people will be more open and stop being selfish.. if you care for someone, show it.. don't regret it later.. :))

  10. Sakshi Singh says:

    Exactly,after all “He's watching!”..

One can sure be stronger without any support! Just trust your inner self, that knows, you can get through anything..

I hope the same Fida! When you care, show it,before it's too late!

    Take care. 🙂

  11. @Sakshi: They key to happiness starts by loving one's self. If you don't love yourself, if you are not precious to you, no one would love you.

  12. Sakshi Singh says:

Very true. If you don't value yourself, how would others ever know how precious you are!

Thanks for visiting my blog 🙂

  13. Rahul says:

😀 Have you ever considered the possibility that the people who commit suicide actually might 'want' the people who care for them to suffer? It's kind of a revenge they take for feeling let down by their near and dear ones… And frankly speaking, while this FB status is moving…it's way exaggerated…I don't think if anyone really commits suicide, the friends/school-mates/college-mates would really give a shit after a few days…If they cared so much while she had been alive, the person probably wouldn't have felt compelled to take her life!
I think when one feels suicidal, one should just take a look around and take stock of all the suffering and difficulties people face around him/her.His/her difficulties will really start to pale in insignificance before them most of the time.

  14. Sakshi Singh says:

You do have the other sense of thinking Rahul! Which I am glad about 🙂

As far as the revenge part is considered,I don't know if anyone would kill themselves to let others suffer. May be not.
And this status, was helpful, believe it or not. I witnessed. Also,no in schools, colleges, kids are impulsive. They do so at times, you might analyse it over google.;)

The last thing, every single being is capable of solving their own issues and problems,if they do so by looking for what'd bothering the,who will ever be in pain?

Thanks for visiting the blog. 🙂

well true but then we dont know how much depression this person is , who takes this step

one thing I will say everyone in this world today or tomorrow everyone has a stressful situation but the main difference between the two people (one who commits suicide and one who does not) is that one who commits suicide is alone. He is not even able to share his pain with a single human being in this earth.

  19. Sakshi Singh says:

    Very true sir!
I agree depression is there, but I don't know if anyone can take this part to this extent. Never faced any of it till now!

It's just about the difference, exactly what you say,one who commits and one who does not.
